She also has extensive experience as a registered nurse working on the coronary intensive care unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT and in the cardiovascular telemetry unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, as well as volunteer posts in Togo, West Africa. In addition to her considerable clinical skills, Ream has an arsenal of language capabilities to assist her in caring for Manet’s multicultural patient population. Charles Bell, MD, joined the Manet team in February 2016. Dr. Bell specializes in pediatrics and sees patients from newborn to age 23 at Manet’s Hull and North Quincy sites. Dr. Bell earned his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at George W. Hubbard Hospital, also in Nashville. He was the recipient of a four-year National Health Service Corps scholarship and has experience working with diverse populations. He has a special interest in adolescent medicine, obesity in children and screening for teen depression. Dr. Bell is the physician advisor for Randolph Public Schools and Quincy Catholic Academy.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his family practice residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Shadyside Hospital. He holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health, where he also completed his Post Doctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Epidemiology. His credentials also include a fellowship with the National Institute of Program Director Development from the American Academy of Family Physicians, certificates from the University of New Orleans, Ochsner Clinic in Advanced Physician Executive Management Program, and an Executive Master of Science in Health Care Management from the University of New Orleans College of Business. He has a certificate in addiction counseling and he is certified for enhanced suboxone prescribing and as a Physician Examiner for Commercial Motor Vehicle Operators. MaryAnn Dakkak, MD

Family Medicine/Obstetrics, North Quincy

Dr. Dakkak specializes in family medicine and obstetrics and sees patients at Manet’s North Quincy practice site, providing a full spectrum of primary care services for patients of all ages, as well as a range of obstetrical services for expectant mothers. She  delivers babies and performs cesarean sections and other procedures at Boston Medical Center. At Manet, she offers women’s health services, including colposcopies, office gynecological exams, ultrasound and family planning. She is certified to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone and Subutex) and to provide HIV and Hepatitis C care.

Dr. Dakkak earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and completed her residency in family medicine at the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency in Santa Rosa, CA. She completed a fellowship in obstetrics at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical School and also holds a master’s degree in population and international health from the Harvard School of Public Health.

She speaks French and Spanish, as well as limited Arabic.

Jeanne Hopkins, OD, directs Manet’s Vision Center, which opened in 2015 at our North Quincy practice site. Dr. Hopkins graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She completed her Optometric Residency at Eye Health Services in Weymouth.

Prior to joining Manet, Dr. Hopkins gained more than two decades of experience in optometric practices in Braintree and Quincy. She also worked in a community health center setting at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, where she was involved in development and growth of the eye clinic. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry and American Optometric Association.

Brian Kroener, MD, MPH

Dr. Kroener specializes in family medicine and sees patients of all ages at Manet’s Houghs Neck practice site. He enjoys serving families and communities in a health center setting because “they care for whole family units and provide culturally-sensitive and comprehensive primary care.”

Dr. Kroener has special interests in obstetrics, women’s health, family planning, and addiction medicine, including treatment of opioid use disorder. He earned both his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees at Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed a Fellowship in Maternal Child Health with Surgical Obstetrics at the PCC Community Wellness Center, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) in Oak Park, IL. Joshua Okallo, MD

Dr. Okallo is board certified in family medicine and sees patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, at Manet’s Snug Harbor site. He has a special interest in caring for whole families, helping to manage a full range of conditions from asthma in children to chronic diseases, such as COPD, in older adults. Dr. Okallo received his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. He also completed his Family Medicine Residency at Loma Linda, where he served as Chief Resident. Katherine Standish, MD

Katherine Standish, MD, joined the Family Medicine staff at our North Quincy practice site in 2019. Dr. Standish is an attending physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University, where she is a fellow in the Primary Care Academic Fellowship Program. She completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Latin American Studies at Wesleyan University and her medical degree at Yale School of Medicine before completing her residency at BMC.

Dr. Standish is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Association of Family Medicine. At Manet, she will see patients of all ages, and is particularly interested in maternal-child health, lactation, immigrant health.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, Iris provides primary care for patients of all ages, including routine exams, assessment of urgent care issues and management of chronic conditions. Chih Chao “Justin” Yang, MD, MPH, joined Manet in North Quincy in January 2018. He is the Medical Director of Manet’s new Urgent Care and Occupational Health Center, opening in the summer of 2020. Dr. Yang is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Yang is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Peking University and his Master of Public Health degree at Harvard University. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, and a second residency and fellowship in Occupational & Environmental Medicine at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with training at Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Yang has extensive research experience and numerous publications in cardiovascular disease prevention. Most recently, his research on the relationship between push-ups and heart disease was published in JAMA and received worldwide media attention.

Dr. Yang specializes in chronic disease prevention, management and occupational injury.  In addition, he focuses on LGBTIQA+ care and he is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.  Dr. Yang is accepting new patients at our North Quincy practice location. Lily Yung, MD

In addition to serving as Chief Medical Officer for Manet, Dr. Lily Yung is the Physician Lead for Adult Medicine at Manet’s North Quincy practice site. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Yung helps to ensure consistency and continuity of care across Manet’s five practice sites, along with overseeing the professional development of the medical staff.

Dr. Yung is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She earned her Medical Degree at Boston University School of Medicine, where she received the Henry J. Bakst Award in Community Medicine. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Medical Sciences from Boston University. Dr. Yung also serves as a clinical instructor with Boston Medical Center for medical students and internal medicine residents. She speaks fluent Cantonese.
