Shanell Saunders, FNP-C is a nurse practitioner currently seeing patients at Manet’s Taunton location. She joined Manet in January 2025. Before joining Manet Shanell worked at Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge from as an RN and Nursing Supervisor. She also has experience at the Cambridge Health Alliance as a Nursing Assistant and The Children’s Hospital in Boston.
She earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Simmons University in Boston. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laboure College in Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UMass Amherst.
Shanell became a Nurse Practitioner because as she advanced in her career in the medical field it became clear to her the impact NPs make in healthcare. That inspired her to become an FNP-C. According to Shanell she chose Manet because she “heard great things about Manet through a friend and fellow NP, that used to volunteer here as a Nurse. She spoke highly of the care and people she worked with while volunteering at Manet. Being at a community health center and caring for the population Manet serves, is where I aspired to be once I finished school. Manet seemed like a great fit”
Shanell has a particular interest in work dealing with health and wellness in relation to fitness becaue in her words “increasing physical activity can improve quality of life and can benefit one’s health dramatically”.
