Sign of the Tide!
Thanks to the Quincy Housing Authority for the beautiful new sign at our Snug Harbor site! The sign, dedicated in memory of longtime QHA staffer Deborah J. Williamson, looks even nicer alongside the wonderful art display by Carolina Aragón on loan from the artist to the QHA. “High Tide” is an abstracted marsh landscape inspired by a marsh during high tide when the grasses are flooded by water and speaks of the region’s changing shoreline. A Community Development Block Grant from the City of Quincy funded the new sign, as well as other improvements, inlcuding installation of new floors, removal of window grates and improved access for the disabled at the Snug Harbor site, which are currently under way.
