August 9th – 15th, 2020

It is National Health Center Week (NHCW) at Manet – a time when we would normally host a week-long line up of events at each of our sites to invite new and prospective patients and community members to stop by and learn more about Manet.

This year, as with just about everything else so far in 2020, our NHCW celebrations will be a little different.

Our week will focus on highlighting the incredible work we have done together to help keep our communities safe during the pandemic and beyond; reflecting on what it means for us to serve the most exceptional communities and residents with the most exceptional staff.

In March, we responded and pivoted quickly.

With experience in the delivery of telehealth originally through our behavioral health program, we delivered care through more that 42,000 in-person and telehealth visits.

Moreover, with the support of the our Federal officials and local elected officials like Mayor Tom Koch, we began in earnest our COVID-19 testing program and have served as a consistent testing location, six days a week for patients and community members, including special groups such as first responders, health care workers, essential retail workers, homeless community members and others.

As you will see below, our commitment to public health and ensuring access to testing and reducing the incidence and prevalence of community spread has lead us be a “Stop the Spread” site (mass.gov/stopthespread) with over 1,400 residents tested over the past two weeks alone and eight more sessions planned.

The delivery of safe, timely, compassionate primacy care, addiction medicine and behavioral health remains at the cornerstone of all we do. We could not do what we do without our exceptional, talented, diverse, compassionate staff who are determined to make a difference and determined to provide unfettered access to care and pandemic education.
