Season of Thanks. Reasons for Giving.
It’s the time of year when we take stock of the people and things for which we are most thankful. For us at Manet, that means our wonderful and dedicated staff, our precious patients and our generous supporters new and old. During this season of thanks, we’d like to share with you stories of how your support helps us deliver care to those who need it.
The Best Care for Patients of All Ages
Whether your age is 0 or 106, Manet Community Health Center provides the same high quality care that has distinguished us for nearly 40 years — for everyone in our communities who needs us.
That’s what Earl and Penny Rudkin found when they turned to Manet for their primary care. A Manet navigator helped them find a health coverage plan that they could afford and Dr. MaryAnn Dakkak, who specializes in family medicine and obstetrics at Boston Medical Center and Manet, made Penny feel comfortable during her prenatal and postpartum care by speaking to her in Spanish, her native language. Their daughter, Samantha will celebrate her first birthday in March. It “could not have been a better experience,” said her proud father. “As first time parents, they taught us everything we needed to know. With limitless options, we’re happy to choose Manet for our care.”
With a few more candles on her cake than little Sammie, Dorothea Neal recently celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends. Soon after, she made a visit to see Dr. Lily Yung, her longtime primary care provider and Manet’s chief medical officer. Her strong relationship with Dr. Yung, attentiveness to her health care and commitment to staying active and engaged are all part of the recipe that helps this spry centenarian look and feel much younger than her age. Manet is proud to be Dorothea’s choice for local care, too.
Thanks to the kindness and giving spirit of people like YOU, Manet has been providing responsive, patient-centered, accessible, compassionate, high quality care for thousands of patients for nearly 40 years, without interruption. We stand together in our belief that everyone deserves a healthy life, and your support helps our team deliver that care every day. Please consider making a your gift this holiday season. We are abundantly grateful for your consideration and friendship.
