As it passes its first-year milestone, Manet Community Health Center’s Attleboro site (Manet, Attleboro) has a lot to celebrate – with even more yet to come!
Manet, Attleboro opened its doors at 8 North Main Street at the end of July, 2021 with the goal of increasing much needed access to primary care, behavioral health and other essential health services for residents of the greater Attleboro area. Despite the challenges of opening a new site during a pandemic, the practice has been welcomed warmly by the community and embraced enthusiastically by patients in need of local, accessible, comprehensive care.
“It has been an inspiring and humbling first year,” says Manet CEO Cynthia Sierra. “We are so honored to serve this community and we are grateful for the support we have received on so many levels that enables us to care for growing numbers of patients of all ages and health needs. We appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received from our colleagues at Study Memorial Hospital and look forward to working closely together to serve our shared patients. We are especially thankful for the continuing support we’ve received from Congressman Jake Auchincloss, which not only helped us to establish the practice in Attleboro, but will also help us to dramatically expand our space and increase our capacity this coming year.
“Another first-year high point is the fantastic team we’ve assembled in Attleboro, who live locally and care deeply about the community. We are so pleased to announce that one of our founding providers in Attleboro, Charlette Hines, FNP, has taken on the role of Lead Provider, and she is joined by Dr. Jessica Bradford and Hailey Erwin, PA-C, supported by an exceptional contingent of staff.”
In its first year, Manet, Attleboro saw growing numbers of primary care patients and continues to grow and welcome new patients. In addition to primary care, Manet, Attleboro offers a variety of programs and services, including integrated mental health counseling, substance use treatment and recovery services, chronic disease management, nutrition services, health insurance navigation/SHINE counseling, COVID-19 vaccine and treatment, and connection to community resources.
The planning and design phase is now under way for an expansion project that will encompass the first floor of the Bronson Building at 8 North Main Street, making space for additional exam rooms and consult space and further expanding the site’s capacity to serve new patients and offer more programs and services. “We look forward to inviting the community to a ribbon cutting in early 2023 – so please stay tuned!” Sierra says.
Evening hours starting soon:
The practice is currently open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and beginning September 12, it will be open Monday evenings until 8 p.m. At that time, the weekly community vaccine clinic hosted by Manet on Thursday afternoons will move to Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. we welcome new patients!
