Looking back, Danielle says that finding her way to Manet for her prenatal care “was the best thing that ever happened.” At the time, she was upset and afraid and didn’t know where to turn. Her excitement about her pregnancy had been tempered somewhat by an unpleasant experience with another provider and the knowledge that hers was a high-risk pregnancy.
A friend recommended that she call Manet. When she did, she was connected with Dr. Mary Ann Dakkak, who was able to fit her in for an appointment on the same day. “I could tell that she was anxious, so I felt it was important to have her come in and get the care she needed.”
“She was like an angel from above,” says Danielle. “I felt like I could breathe for the first time.” She felt immediately welcomed by the whole prenatal team, and after an exceptional delivery at Boston Medical Center, she and her husband welcomed a healthy baby boy to their family in July. “I am so thankful that they were here to save me at a time I needed to be saved.”
