Tuesday, March 18: Nutrition Education and Cooking Series with Taunton Council on Aging – Celeste Le and Abbie Lively, Manet Dietitians, and Jessica Oliveira, Care Manager, organized and led the second session of this five-part Series. Participants discussed Balanced Nutrition and Food Safety and made Power Bowls. Sponsored by Bristol County Savings Bank.

Thursday, March 27: Quincy Public Schools Credit for Life Fair- 200 students visited booths manned by volunteers from local businesses and non-profits to practice their budgeting skills. Manet’s Shirley Fajardo and Tanya Allain helped students account for health care costs in their budgets.

April 2 (and every other Wednesday): Fair Foods – Manet partners with Fair Foods every other Wednesday at our North Quincy site (110 West Squantum St.) to offer members of the community bags of fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables for $2 a bag. The next Fair Foods is April 16. Everyone is welcome!

April 5: The Project Connect Family Fun Fair – Nick Donovan, Marketing Coordinator and Michelle Hutcheson, Lead Community Health Specialist hosted a Trivia Wheel for kids to win Manet prizes at Attleboro High School. Try a question from the wheel: What percentage of the human body is water?

April 8: Lions Club of Quincy Evening for Sight – Three cheers for General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. USMC (Ret.), who was presented with the Francis A. McCauley Community Service Award! He’s pictured above with Manet CEO Cynthia Sierra, a past McCauley award recipient.

April 15: Braintree High School Health Fair – Manager of Prevention, Ashley Mayerjak, handed out materials and giveaways and met students from Braintree High School.
