Happy National Health Center Week!
Manet is proud to be among 52 Massachusetts community health centers – with more than 300 access sites – that serve over a million local residents. Nationally, we’re among 1,400 community health centers that serve 30 million people.
This week, we have much to celebrate. Community Health Centers deliver care to people who disproportionately suffer from chronic disease and lack access to affordable, quality care. While our approach is community-based and local, collectively we are the backbone of the nation’s primary care system, lowering health care costs, reducing rates of chronic diseases, and stimulating local economies.
Health centers, including Manet, have continued provide preventive, primary care and behavioral health services in the face of a global pandemic. We’ve collaborated with local health systems, local and state governments, social, health and business organizations to ensure that our patients and communities have access to the care and services they need and deserve. We’re working to ensure that residents of our communities have ample access to the COVID-19 vaccine and we’ve bolstered the number of vaccine clinics we’re hosting and we’re offering free ice cream to those who get vaccinated at our sites this week!
