Congratulations to Jeanne Hopkins, O.D., Director of Manet’s Vision Center, who was presented with the William T. Murphy Sight Award from Mass. Lions Eye Research Fund at the Quincy Lions Club Installation Ceremony on June 23. The award recognizes an individual or organization for their “outstanding and dedicated service to further the cause of eye research.” Dr. Hopkins was recognized not only for her work as a liaison between the Quincy Lions Club and Manet’s Vision Center, but also for her work with Partners in Visual Health, which is an organization that brings optometry students and young optometrists to El Salvador to serve those in need.
