Common Housing Application for Massachusetts Programs (CHAMP) 
Lets Massachusetts residents apply online for state-aided public housing and rental vouchers through one application. You can choose preferred housing authorities and track your status. It doesn’t cover federal housing programs.

Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) 
Offers up to $7,000 in short-term emergency funds for rent, utilities, moving, or mortgage costs to people at risk of losing housing.

Germantown Neighborhood Center

Offers free and low-cost programs like youth activities, adult classes, support groups, and housing help. It hosts a food pantry on Wednesdays and Fridays for Quincy residents and features a community garden, music studio, and family events.

Taunton

Citizens for Citizens, Inc LIHEAP

Provides short- and long-term support to help low-income individuals and families overcome financial hardship and build self-sufficiency. Serving over 30,000 people in Greater Fall River and Taunton, programs include fuel assistance, weatherization, Head Start, WIC, SNAP, food pantry, family planning, after-school care, tax prep, and emergency housing help.

This program is an emergency shelter program to help families who are homeless. NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions (NHS) provides intense case management and transitional housing for 12 families. 

Samaritan House

A sober transitional homeless shelter for men and women near Taunton’s Weir section. The property is owned by the Taunton Housing Authority and managed by Catholic Social Services as a homeless shelter through a Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies. It has 20 beds on multiple floors and is staffed 24 hours a day. In addition to shelter, the program offers a wide range of supportive services including assessment, job skills training, budgeting information, and access to mental health and other needed services. 

Our Daily Bread Kitchen

Serves free hot meals and take-away sandwiches on weekdays, aiming to help anyone experiencing hunger. Beyond food, they offer supportive services such as computer training, career guidance, resume help, EBT and Section 8 assistance, and even provide phones to qualifying individuals.
