Transitional Assistance for Dependent Children (TAFDC) 
Cash benefits for pregnant individuals and families/caregivers with children under the age of 18. Additional services include enrollment into MassHealth, referral to free employment and training programs, referral for free childcare, financial assistance for transportation, and clothing allowance.
 

Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled & Children (EAEDC) 
Monthly cash payments for older and/or disabled adults, children being cared for by a non or distant relative and adults taking care of a disabled person.

Serving over 30,000 people in Greater Fall River and Taunton, programs include fuel assistance, weatherization, Head Start, WIC, SNAP, food pantry, family planning, after-school care, tax prep, and emergency housing help.
