Marissa Abdow, MSW, LICSW -Licensed Independent Clinical

 

Marissa Abdow, MSW, LICSW is a strengths-based, person-centered clinician who specializes in providing short term and solution focused therapies for patients across the lifespan.  She has been a behavioral health provider at Manet since June 2022 and currently works at the Taunton and Attleboro Manet locations. Prior to Manet, Marissa worked in integrated behavioral health at a Rhode Island based community health care center. She has previous work experience in community clinical services, hospital acute care, geriatric psychiatry, youth residential, and homecare for the elderly and disabled. Marissa received her Bachelors’ degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and her Master of Social Work from the University of New England.

She is certified in Integrated Behavioral Health through UMass Medical School. Marissa is experienced in providing support and treatment for patients with a wide variety of mental health needs and is motivated and impassioned to assist her patients with identifying and taking steps to achieve their personal goals. “I believe that the therapist’s function should be to help people become free to be aware of and to experience their possibilities.” – Rollo May
