Tim has been the Behavioral Health Services Director at Manet since 2018. In this role, he splits time between clinical and administrative duties. He has been providing clinical social work services since graduating with his MSW degree from Bridgewater State University in 2005. He has spent the past 17 years working in community health centers.
Tim is a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) and LADC1 (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor). He uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach incorporating elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Tim has extensive experience providing mental health, substance use, and trauma therapy. He is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, which is a form of trauma therapy that incorporates CBT principles.
Tim provides individual counseling (consult sessions, short-term counseling, and midterm counseling treatment tracks) and group counseling (relapse prevention, depression/anxiety management). He works with clients on setting and working toward measurable goals with a belief that change often occurs through a series of small, manageable steps rather than sudden, sweeping changes.
