Narcan Education and Distribution

Manet’s Prevention team will hand out Narcan and provide education on its use. Narcan (Naloxone) is a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose by blocking opioids receptors from attaching to opioid receptors in the brain. It is administered as a nasal spray. There are NO side effects. Narcan is active for about 30 to 90 minutes in the body—giving enough time to seek emergency medical care.
