Quincy, Hull, Attleboro and Taunton, MA (August 6, 2025) – Manet Community Health (Manet) joined community health centers nationwide, which together serve 32.4 million patients, in marking National Health Center Week, Aug. 3–9, with a series of patient and community-focused events at its eight primary care locations, bringing together patients, staff and supporters, and honoring two local champions with its Community Crusader Awards.
Andrew Dawley, LICSW, of Taunton and President & CEO, Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC), received Manet’s inaugural Community Crusader Award during a special Recognition and Reflection event at Manet’s Taunton location, 1 Washington Street, in recognition of his and CCBC’s integral work serving patients across Manet and CCBC’s collective service areas. Guests included Stephanie Gray, Constituent Services Manager for Congressman Auchincloss’ office, leaders from the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce, Old Colony YMCA, Bristol County Savings Bank, Brown Health Morton Hospital and Boston Medical Center Health System, as well as leadership and staff from CCBC, Manet Board members and staff.
A second Community Crusader Award was presented at Manet’s North Quincy location, 110 West Squantum Street, to Helen Fatseas, of Quincy, for not only her volunteer work with Manet, but also her contributions to causes and initiatives in the Greater Quincy community and beyond. More than 60 people gathered for the event, including a representative from Congressman Stephen Lynch’s office, Mayor Tom Koch, Rep. Tackey Chan, Rep. Jim Hawkins, Casey Blanchette, Site Manager, VA Boston Health Care, Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Dr. Ravin Davidoff, Executive Medical Director and Clinical Integration Lead, Boston Medical Center, Quincy Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Mulvey and Assistant Superintendent Erin Perkins, Shade Cronan, SVP of Development and External Affairs for the Mass. League of Community Health Centers, several Manet Board members and scores of Manet providers and staff.
The week also included Staff Appreciation surprises and treats and Patient and Community Appreciation Tables at each Manet site, staffed by a variety of staff offering information about the health center, blood pressure checks, healthy snacks, Manet keepsakes and health and wellness tips. In keeping with the NHCW theme, “America’s Health Centers Celebrating 60 Years of Improving Our Nation’s Health,” the health center posted a series of historic Manet milestones and photos on its social media channels throughout the week and debuted a video featuring 60 words and phrases patients, community partners and staff use to describe Manet.
