Sofia Chu, MD


Sofia Chu, MD, combines a dedication to family medicine with a belief in improving access to medical care for underserved communities. She has put her beliefs in action, as a member of volunteer medical missions to Nepal, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti.

Dr. Chu sees patients at our North Quincy and Hough’s Neck practice sites. She is the Clinical Advisor to Manet’s Family Planning Program.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and a Minor in Biology from Boston University and earned her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident during her training with the Worchester Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Massachusetts.

Prior to joining Manet in 2012, Dr. Chu was on staff at Windsor Street Health Center, Cambridge Health Alliance. At that time, she was an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and acted as a preceptor for medical students from Tufts and Harvard.

Dr. Chu is board certified in Family Medicine and trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, among other certifications. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
