Manet has multidisciplinary staff who deliver care and services across eight practice sites and one community outreach location. Our sites are located in Quincy, Hull, Taunton and Attleboro, Massachusetts.
General Definition and Scope of Job
The Behavioral Health Administrative Coordinator will assist the Director of Behavioral Health in managing the administrative components of the Behavioral Health Department. This includes coordinating internal team meetings and meetings with community partners and other departments within Manet. Duties also include coordinating the telepsychiatry process with BMC Psychiatry and overseeing the BH staff implementing that process. The BH Administrative Coordinator will supervise the BH Case Managers, BH Medical Assistant, and Social Needs and BH Community Health Workers. This person will represent the BH Department on some interdisciplinary committees at Manet. Duties also include working with Director of Behavioral Health to ensure Manet’s BH Dept. policies and protocols are up to date and meeting DPH clinic license and other regulatory requirements. BH Admin Coordinator will also lead the process of monitoring and working on BH quality measures.
Core Responsibilities
- Serves as Administrative Coordinator of the Behavioral Health department.
- Manages templates within BH in collaboration with Manet Scheduler.
- Supervises BH Case Managers, BH Medical Assistant, and Social Needs and BH Community Health Specialists
- Leads BH process around monitoring and improving work on BH related quality measures.
- Sets up and attends meetings with BMC Psychiatry and other community partner agencies.
- Provides support and assistance to BH case management team, assisting when needed with warm handoff support and backup coverage.
- Maintains complete and accurate records on each patient using Athena EMR.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in treatment plans and reporting as appropriate. Understands and abides by HIPAA guidelines.
- Collects and analyzes data from various sources to evaluate programs and determine need for additional educational programs or communications.
- Works with community contacts to promote behavioral health programs and learn about up to date resources in the community
- May be asked to provide input on grant proposals and report on program progress.
- Assists with implementation of telepsychiatry program including coordinating meeting schedule, overseeing the process of scheduling appointments, and providing other support as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex information
- Ability to work with diverse population of patients, staff members, and agency contacts
- Excellent computer and documentation skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills, especially dealing with difficult or irate patients or family members.
- At least 3 years of work experience in the Behavioral Health field required.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling or equivalent experience required
- Experience with MS Office products required; previous EMR experience preferred.

- Stressful at times due to competing demands and overlapping priorities, including attention to multiple patients and staff.
- Includes walking and standing for long periods of time, sitting for short period of time, hand dexterity, clear hearing and speaking ability. Must be able to lift a maximum of 1/3 of their body weight.
