Narcan (Naloxone) is a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose by blocking opioids receptors from attaching to opioid receptors in the brain. It is administered as a nasal spray. There are NO side effects. Narcan is active for about 30 to 90 minutes in the body—giving enough time to seek emergency medical care.\nMust register on the library website.
