Martha Karchere, MD, MPH
Director of Maternal Child Health
Martha Karchere, MD, MPH, has overseen the health of South Shore families for a generation. She joined Manet Community Health Center in 1987. She serves as Director of Prenatal Care and treats patients of all ages at our active North Quincy facility.
Dr. Karchere earned her Medical Degree at Tufts University School of Medicine and her Master's in Public Health from Harvard University. A resident of Jamaica Plain, Dr. Karchere has been the medical consultant to Quincy Public Health Commission since 1993, is president of the Franklin Park Coalition and serves on the Two-way Bilingual Parents Committee at Rafael Hernandez Elementary School.
Dr. Karchere has been a clinical instructor at Boston Medical Center since 1983. In addition to teaching, she conducts clinical research in such topics as asthma. She is fluent in Spanish and French—an added plus for our multi-cultural patient population.
