Quincy, MA, June 4, 2008—Manet Community Health Center (Manet) will “go live” with an Electronic Medical Record on Monday, June 16th. Over the summer, patients’ paper chart at all five of Manet’s health center sites will be replaced by an electronic medical record/chart. This is a bold and strategic step for the health center that keeps Manet current, innovative and progressive in the delivery of care.
An EMR improves patient safety, organizational efficiency. As well, an EMR encourages better patient outcomes and markedly improves patient satisfaction along with standards of care. Manet ,with a mission to “provide quality, accessible healthcare for all” is a multi sites primary care practice offering a health care hone in five South Shore locations: North Quincy, Hough’s Neck, Snug Harbor(Germantown), Quincy Medical Center and in Hull.
As a multi site practice, an EMR is particularly advantageous. The EMR will allow for Manet doctors and nurse practitioners to have instant entry to patients health history, medications, and lab/test results ensuring the highest -quality, best coordinated, and on-time services. This is one of the most important steps Manet has ever taken to improve our ability to care for our patients.
This efforts has been lead internally by Bill Brandon, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer and Jane Maffie-Lee, FNP, Chief Operations Officer and Acting CEO at Manet.
