Christopher Cogdill

Christopher Cogdill, Board Member, Quincy

Chris Cogdill brings the dual perspective of health care professional and Manet patient to the Board of Directors, which he joined in January 2012.

A Quincy resident, Cogdill is District Manager of the Boston South district for Walgreens, where he has enjoyed a two-decade career. He oversees 37 stores—one in Boston and the rest throughout the South Shore region.

Cogdill grew up in a small town outside Kansas City, Missouri, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in marketing, from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University). In 2005, he transferred to Massachusetts, where Walgreens partners with Manet in its 340B Pharmacy program, providing discounted pharmaceuticals.

Cogdill met Manet leaders and became a patient at Manet’s North Quincy practice site. Joining its community-based Board was a natural extension.
Cogdill is working to build awareness that Manet provides a high level of services to all its patients—those with insurance and without. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and golfing, the latter a sport he started when he was just four years old.

Being on the Manet Board has given this “transplant” a chance to get involved in his new community, he says, and to “meet so many good people who are also giving back.”
